The wild wave of GTA 6 leaks may finally be coming to an end. After more than a week of leaked gameplay clips, map details and even story-related footage, the person or group operating under the name CyberLeek appears to have cashed out more than $250,000 from the cryptocurrency connected to the leaks.
The development has sparked fresh speculation that the leaker may be preparing to disappear just as Rockstar Games gets ready to show the world more official GTA 6 footage.
According to reports from gaming outlets and GTA Forums investigator Vit Cit, transactions linked to the CyberLeek meme coin show that roughly $265,000 to $268,000 was moved through several transactions and ultimately distributed across multiple wallets.
That doesn’t prove the leaks are finished, but it certainly changes the situation.
CyberLeek Appears to Be Cashing Out
CyberLeek became one of the biggest names in the GTA 6 community almost overnight.
Beginning around August 18, the anonymous source started releasing clips that appeared to show gameplay from an unfinished build of Grand Theft Auto VI. The footage included Jason, Vice City locations, driving, combat, NPC interactions and other gameplay systems.
What made the situation even more unusual was the connection to a cryptocurrency.
CyberLeek promoted a meme coin associated with its name while releasing the GTA 6 footage. This led many fans to question whether the leaks were actually motivated by consumer-rights concerns or whether the entire operation was designed to generate attention and make money.
That question became even more important after the reported cash-out.
If the blockchain transactions identified by investigators are accurate, CyberLeek may have extracted hundreds of thousands of dollars from the attention surrounding the leaks.
Why This Could Mean the GTA 6 Leaks Are Ending
The timing is particularly interesting.
Rockstar has been dealing with an almost continuous stream of unauthorized GTA 6 footage, while the company is simultaneously preparing its own official extended presentation.
CyberLeek had already escalated the situation by releasing increasingly revealing material. One of the most recent major leaks reportedly included more than four minutes of Lucia’s early story content, making the situation considerably more serious for fans trying to avoid spoilers.
Now, with the alleged cash-out taking place, there is a reasonable possibility that CyberLeek has reached the end of its operation.
That is also what GTA Forums investigator Vit Cit suggested after examining the blockchain activity. The transactions appeared to indicate that the group was moving its money out rather than continuing to build the cryptocurrency project.
Still, there is one major problem with declaring victory too early: CyberLeek has not officially confirmed that it is finished.
Rockstar Has Already Responded
Rockstar Games itself finally broke its silence as the leaks became impossible to ignore.
The company described the unauthorized release of GTA 6 footage as heartbreaking for its development team and apologized to fans who were seeing the game in a way Rockstar never intended.
At the same time, Rockstar emphasized that development is nearly complete and asked players to wait for the official experience rather than letting leaked footage define their expectations.
The response was significant because Rockstar normally keeps extremely quiet about unreleased projects.
The company also confirmed that GTA 6 is still scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, giving fans a clear indication that the leak situation has not changed the announced release plan.
The Money Theory Is Still Controversial
The reported $250,000 cash-out also puts a spotlight on one of the biggest questions surrounding CyberLeek: Why were the leaks happening in the first place?
CyberLeek claimed its actions were connected to concerns about the modern gaming industry, including digital ownership and physical game releases.
However, the promotion of a meme coin made those claims much harder for some people to believe.
The controversy became even bigger when CyberLeek reportedly claimed that GTA 6 could feature an in-game currency capable of being converted into real-world money.
There is currently no official confirmation from Rockstar that GTA 6 will include such a system. Reports have repeatedly stressed that the claim originates from the anonymous leaker and should not be treated as confirmed GTA 6 information.
That distinction is important because the internet has already mixed genuine-looking footage with rumors, speculation and completely fake GTA 6 material.
Could More Leaks Still Appear?
Absolutely.
Even if CyberLeek has genuinely cashed out, that doesn’t necessarily mean every GTA 6 leak will suddenly disappear.
Copies of previously leaked footage can continue circulating across social media, forums and file-sharing platforms. Other people could also attempt to release material obtained from different sources.
There is another complication: AI-generated GTA 6 footage has become increasingly convincing. GamesRadar recently reported that fake GTA 6 clips have been circulating alongside genuine-looking material, making it difficult for fans to determine what is real.
So, ironically, even if CyberLeek stops posting, the GTA 6 leak problem may continue in a different form.
The Timing Could Not Be More Interesting
The reported cash-out comes at a critical moment for GTA 6.
Rockstar is preparing fans for an official extended look at the game, while the company wants players to experience its carefully selected presentation rather than fragmented clips from an unfinished build.
For Rockstar, that official presentation is an opportunity to take back control of the GTA 6 conversation.
For fans, it could finally provide a clearer picture of what the finished game actually looks like.
And for CyberLeek, the reported $250,000-plus cash-out may represent the end of a bizarre chapter that turned GTA 6’s most anticipated moments into a cryptocurrency-fueled leak saga.
For now, however, it is best to describe the situation carefully: the GTA 6 leaks may be over, but they are not officially confirmed to be finished.
If CyberLeek truly has cashed out and walks away, Rockstar may finally get the breathing room it needs to control the game’s remaining marketing campaign.
But until the anonymous leaker disappears for good, GTA 6 fans should probably expect one more surprise.
